Veteran Actor Raghubir Yadav delivered a Celebrity Guest lecture at Actor Prepares. Raghubir shared his challenges and experiences with the diploma batch students while portraying a character in a film as well as in OTT platforms. He was seen in many milestone films in the following decades. Two films that he has acted in have received Academy Award nominations for Best Foreign Language Film (Salaam Bombay! and Lagaan). Raghubir Yadav is one of the few Indian actors to have received the Silver Peacock Best Actor Award, at the International Film Festival of India. His most acclaimed role was as the drug addicted “Chillum” in Salaam Bombay! (1988).
His other acclaimed films include Firaaq, Dear Friend Hitler, and Peepli Live. For someone, who is still remembered for his path-breaking role on the small screen with ‘Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne’ (1988), has now added another memorable character to his career with ‘Pradhan ji’ in Panchayat.
Raghubir says – “I feel I have never struggled in the industry. I don’t think hard work is a struggle. I enjoy every stage of learning the craft of acting. I never went to anybody for work” by this beautiful line he motivated the students of the diploma batch. It helps the students learn from a professional actor’s experience and in getting to know his journey, also be inspired by them.
