Malad Masti is an event held on the back roads of Malad west all Sunday of December. It is rostered with lots of fun and educational activities on road. Deep, who completed the 3-month diploma programme at Actor Prepares in 2019, has won accolades for his performance in the short film RAGHU. Actor Prepares conducted an interactive one-day workshop at Lala Lajpat Rai College which was a massive hit. It was an amazing experience for the students to get to know the world of acting and to realise their passion for the craft. The workshop was for 3 hours where the students learnt how to use their body to communicate, be creative, work as a team & develop stronger communication skills that help in improved presentation abilities. Director Vasan Bala, the cast Huma Qureshi & Sikandar Kher of the popular Netflix movie Monica o my darling visited the institute to give a special guest lecture. The movie is a hit among the youth and the students were very excited to meet their idols. Varalaxmi learned acting at Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares, the school for actors. She got her first break in the Tamil fim ‘Podaa Podi’ as ‘Nisha’ for which she won the Vijay Award for Best Debut Actress and the Edison Award for Best Debut Actress. She also works as a model & walked the ramp at various fashion shows. Varalaxmi worked in different languages like Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
