Vrinda debut in the latest Hindi-language historical film ‘The Kashmir Files’ directed by Vivek Agnihotri. The film’s producer Vivek Agnihotri claims the film to be a depiction of the “truth of Kashmir”. Its key message is that what is known as the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits is actually a “genocide”
The movie is a gut-wrenching watch, it is based on the plight of Kashmiri Pandits who faced a massacre and forced exodus from their own land by the Islamic militants. The film also recreates the Nadimarg massacre where 24 Hindu Kashmiri Pandits were cruelly killed by militants dressed in combat uniforms. Watching these only take you closer to the brutality that Kashmiri Pandits witnessed. It was declared tax-free in multiple states and became a box office success.
