Saswata Chatterjee known for his impressive roles in movies like Kahaani, Dil Bechara, Jagga Jasoos and many more delivered a guest lecture at Actor Prepares. It was an honor and privilege for the students to interact with the actor and to know some of the insight of his acting journey.

Saswata Chatterjee started his career with a Hindi serial directed by Saibal Mitra, based on Samaresh Majumdar’s Kaalpurush. He got the opportunity to act in the Tv Series Feluda as Tapesh, where his acting skills were appreciated and he gained popularity. He acted in the blockbuster Hindi film, Kahaani where he played Bob Biswas, an assassin, directed by Sujoy Ghosh.

Saswata Chatterjee is like a shining star in the Bengali film industry. In 2013 he did the film ‘Meghe Dhaka Tara’. As an actor, Saswata Chatterjee portrayed his character on the screen in such a beautiful way that it touched the hearts of the audience and that is why he is one of the leading personalities in Bengali cinema. In 2019, he was awarded as the Best Actor in a Foreign Language Film at Madrid International Film Festival for Shironam.

It was a great experience for the students of the batch to learn from his stories and know about the challenges an actor goes through while shooting for a movie/television scene. Guest Lecture Series is an integral part of the Diploma in Acting programme at Actor Prepares, in which professionals from the Film, Media and Entertainment industry are invited to visit Actor Prepares and interact in an engaging session with the actors undergoing training.
