The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has, amongst others, chosen Actor Prepares Alumni Palomi Ghosh for its inaugural Breakthrough India initiative.

She will go on to receive one-to-one mentoring and global networking opportunities and free access to BAFTA events and screenings for 12 months, and full voting BAFTA membership.

These participants were chosen by an elite jury comprising of Anupam Kher, A R Rahman, Charu Desodt, krishnendu Majumdar, Mira Nair, Shonali Bose, Monika Shergill, and Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Palomi Ghosh, an Actor Prepares alumnus gets chosen for BAFTA’S Inaugural Breakthrough India initiative.

Palomi attended the Diploma Programme in Acting at Actor Prepares and has appeared in a lot of movies, web series & commercials.

She is known for acting in International movies like The Waiting City (2009) and Gandhi of the Month (2014). She won the Certificate of merit for Female Actor at the National Film Awards for her role in the Konkani movie Nachom-ia Kumpasar (2015). She won the Best Actress award at the Washington DC South Asian Film Festival Awards for the same movie. Palomi was also cast in a role in the Netflix original series Sense8 (2015). She has acted in Shubhashish Bhutiani`s directorial debut Mukti Bhawan (“Hotel Salvation” in English). Palomi has appeared in a lot of commercials for Tanishq, Muthoot Finance, Stayfree, Idea, SBI Life Insurance, etc
