Cult director and writer Anees Bazme conducted a Masterclass for the actors and writers at Actor Prepares. It was an honour and priveledge for our students to be interacting with a filmmaker of his stature and to learn from his journey, starting as a child actor in movies like Kitaab and Naseeb, to being a successful writer in the 90’s with iconic films like Swarg, Shola aur Shabnam, Bol Radha Bol, Ankheen and then reinventing himself as a master of comedy with blockbuster films like No Entry, Welcome, Ready, Singh is Kinng and many others.

Having worked with some of the best directors and actors in the Indian film industry, Mr. Bazme shared his experiences of having to handle multiple cast and at the same time ensure that the film is executed to its true vision. He explained how actors need to be involved in the filmmaking process. He also took us down memory lane and shared the stories behind the creation of iconic characters in his films.

He is currently shooting the final schedule of his upcoming film Pagalpanti which is due to release later this year. On behalf of all our students and faculty we would like to thank him for his advise, insights and motivation and we wish him all the best for his film
