GUEST LECTURE WITH TELEVISION STAR ASHISH SHARMA

Actor Prepares alumni, television star and winner of Jhalak Dikhhla Ja, Ashish Sharma arrived at Actor Prepares for the screening of his award-winning feature film Khejdi, followed by an interaction with the Diploma acting students from the January 2020 batch.

Khejdi is the story of a transgender (played by Ashish Sharma) craving for social acceptance. Being a versatile actor, Ashish Sharma had to undergo a physical transformation as well as work on his voice, mannerisms and psyche.  The film has been featured and won awards at various prominent film festivals world over, including those for Best Film and Best Director. Ashish Sharma won the Best Actor Award for this film at the NYC South Asian Film Festival.

Ashish completed his Diploma in Acting at Actor Prepares and since then has gone to make a mark for himself in film and especially television. He is recognized for his roles of Prithvi Vallabh in Prithvi Vallabh, Lord Rama in Siya Ke Ram, Major Rudra Pratap Ranawat in Rangrasiya, Ranveer Singh/Fateh Singh Rathore/Jeet Singh in Rab Se Sohna Isshq, and Chandragupta Maurya in Chandragupta Maurya.

It was a great experience for the current Diploma actors to learn from his experiences and journey. The session left them aspiring to work hard and make the transition from the audience side of the room to the stage just like Ashish did.
