ONE YEAR CONSERVATORY ACTING FOR FILM
The One-Year Conservatory Acting for Film offers aspiring actors a transformative experience with focus on screen acting aiming to create skilled and well-rounded professionals. Through an ensemble training, this programme guides the students to discover their own creative process empowering them to consistently grow, adapt to industry demands, and excel as performers. The sessions will be conducted for 7.5 hours from Monday to Saturday, with 4.5 hours of training and 3 hours of research & practice each day.
This programme spans across four terms, each designed for students to explore various aspects of the craft without limiting their artistic perspective to one school of thought. The extensive curriculum offers a comprehensive grasp of acting, incorporating self-exploration, fundamental principles, advanced techniques, stage exposure, and screen proficiency.
TERM 1
The TERM ONE of the programme centres on SELF-EXPLORATION enabling the students to connect with themselves on a deeper level and develop essential skills as an actor. This phase aims to build the mind-set of a performer, encouraging students to let go of inhibitions and achieve intellectual, physical, and emotional readiness crucial to an actor’s working process.

The TERM ONE of the programme centres on SELF-EXPLORATION enabling the students to connect with themselves on a deeper level and develop essential skills as an actor. This phase aims to build the mind-set of a performer, encouraging students to let go of inhibitions and achieve intellectual, physical, and emotional readiness crucial to an actor’s working process.
TERM 2
In TERM TWO, students will delve into learning the CRAFT OF ACTING by drawing inspiration from various theories, real-life experiences and their surroundings. Through in-depth character analysis, scene studies and intense practice, students will explore and identify their individual process to approaching a script. The students will also learn advanced skills needed to create complex characters and engaging performances with emotional depth.

Applying their understanding of the craft from the preceding terms, TERM THREE involves the students in a STAGE PRODUCTION integrating contemporary professional practices of theatre. The primary goal is to provide students a platform to refine their craft, hone performance skills and a build a discipline that contributes to their sustainable growth.

The FINAL TERM of this programme is dedicated to learning the principles and techniques of SCREEN ACTING. It includes understanding camera angles, hitting marks, and conveying emotions effectively on screen through a rigorous practice of multiple scenes across genres. This term marks the culmination of the programme with a production that helps students understand creative choices, technical demands, and expectations on a professional film set.
Across the programme, to bridge the gap between academia and the industry, students will gain valuable industry insights through GUEST LECTURES by notable celebrities. They will learn ADVANCED BUSINESS skills, audition techniques, create an actor’s resume and build an overall portfolio. This programme also places emphasis on helping students develop essential public speaking skills and enhancing the overall personality preparing them for the industry.
