Sameer Soni an Indian actor and director delivered a Celebrity Guest Lecture at Actor Prepares where he shared his journey to be an actor with the students of the Diploma batch and some of his acting experiences on the movie set.

Samir Soni is an Indian actor and a model who appears in Bollywood films. Soni made his debut in the Hindi serial Samandar based on Navy officers. In 1996, he appeared as Ashok Mathur in Doordarshan’s A Mouthful Of Sky, based on Ashok Banker’s script and directed by Mahesh Bhatt. He worked in another popular show on Sony channel called Saaksshi.

Sameer made his film debut opposite actress Mamta Kulkarni in China Gate (1998), though it was followed by forgettable cameos in films.In 2003, Samir shot to fame by appearing in the film Baghban and played lead roles in Basti and Kahan Ho Tum. In that same year, Soni also worked in the popular television series Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin that aired on Sony. Soni was playing the lead role in Ekta Kapoor’s Indian soap opera Parichay – Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka (2013), which earned him the Indian Telly Award for Best Actor,

He was extremely happy to be at Actor Prepares and to get an opportunity to convey his message to aspiring actors of the batch. He shared some of his and Kher Sir’s funny memories on the movie set of Vivah & China Gate. At the end of the lecture, he said, ‘Believe in yourself, make sure that nobody shakes your belief in yourself.’  which boosted up the energy of the students.
