Riya attended the Diploma Programme in Acting at Actor Prepares. The training was designed to help her progress from a basic level to an advanced stage. The course followed a disciplined approach, incorporating a broad array of classes that trained her in key aspects such as emotions, voice, body, speech & diction, characterization, auditioning techniques and method acting.

Riya played the supporting character accompanied by Manushi Chillar in the movie ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ produced by Aditya Chopra. The film was released on 3 June 2022 in 2D and IMAX formats. Samrat Prithviraj is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language historical action drama film directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films.
